The Barkly Durif
Wine
Campbells The Barkly Durif is made with select parcels of the iconic Rutherglen variety Durif, a cross between Shiraz and the obscure variety Peloursin.
The fruit is fermented on skins in closed fermenters for about one week. Once pressed, the wine is aged at length in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.
Crimson violet, Campbells The Barkly Durif has dark fruit flavours and fine tannins, the oak adding texture and weight. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
